Gozo Arts Show 2010

Rotary Arts Show 2010Once again we bring you the GOZO ARTS SHOW 2010 featuring over 40 local and International artists, including paintings, sculpture and photography.  Gozo’s fourth annual Art Show, presented by Rotary Club Gozo, opened on September 12th. It presented the widest range of art that the island can offer.

Works by some of Malta and Gozo’s foremost names featured alongside international talents and those from developing artists. It was a breathtaking display of paintings, photography and sculptures to suit all tastes – and pockets.

As usual, The Gozo Art Show was held at the Citadel, Victoria, spread throughout the grand old St John’s, St Michael’s and St Ursula’s Halls and ran until 21st September.

“A feast for the eyes” was promised by Rotary Club Gozo President, David Pace.

All proceeds will go to Rotary’s currently preferred charities: The Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo and Happy Moments in Kenya.  The worldwide charity, End Polio Now, run by The Rotary Foundation, will also benefit.

Rotary Club Gozo thanks their sponsors, without whom the Exhibition would not have been possible: The Ministry for Gozo, The Cittadella Centre for Culture and Arts, Caruana and Cini, Maji Wine and Dine, Spiteri Catering Equipment and JDB Digital Printing.

Rotary invites everyone – residents and visitors alike – to enjoy the best that the island can offer.  It is open to the public from 12th September for 9 days, from 10.00 – 15.00 (11.00 - 15.00 at the weekend). Entrance is free.
