A Date with Everest 2011

Rotary Club Gozo is proud to host a very special event in the New Year.  A talk by Marco Cremona, who headed Malta’s first successful assault on the world’s highest mountain.

This event is open to all and will take place on 20th January 2011 at the Kempinski San Lawrenz Hotel.   The presentation will be accompanied by a delicious 3-course supper, specially prepared by the hotel.

The talk will range over how the feat was achieved and the thrills, dangers and discoveries made along the way.  It promises to be most entertaining – as well as informative!

The supper, including a half-bottle of wine, water and coffee, will be €30 - exceptional value for money.  During the course of the meal there will be a charity raffle, all proceeds from which will go to the YRP Project at the Kids Shangri-La Home in Kathmandu, a charity backed by Marco
