The Board of Rotary Club Gozo has seven members.  For the year 2009-10, the members are, as follows: -

Membership committee

Chair of Membership Committee: David Pace

Membership of this club is by nomination only. The membership committee receives and processes all nominations applications to join Rotary.  The process normally starts with an applicant attending three meetings as a guest. They are then invited to join and attend further meetings before they are formally inducted.  Membership fees are around €140 per year and there are additional contributions for the monthly dinners (€22 per head). 

Fundraising Committee

All monies raised for worthy causes are channelled through this committee.  Events both large and small will be promoted, the proceeds of which will be directed at suitable causes – primarily on Gozo, but also, occasionally, overseas.  Collections will also be organised. Each year nominations are sought for suitable causes by this committee which are then assessed by the Council.  The President for that year then makes a final decision on which cause will receive the support of the club. 

For 2007/8 The CCU Foundation was our primary charity of choice for Gozo. This good cause is installing much-needed heart monitoring equipment for Gozo General Hospital.  In addition, we are supporting a worthy project in Kenya.  If you would like to nominate a charity for 2008/9 please send details.

Social committee

This Committee is responsible for organising social events and the Thursday evening meetings plus other external social events.  All restaurant and hotel owners should contact the committee if they would like to offer their services.

Fellowship

This Committee is responsible for organising interesting speakers for the Thursday evening meetings. 

We try to organise varied and interesting talks. Our speaker nights are open to visitors by invitation. If you are interested in attending a speaker event, as published on our online events calendar, please ask a member of the club whom you know.
