Welcome

The unique island of Gozo is home to one of Rotary’s youngest clubs. Rotary is the world’s largest service organisation and we joined 33,000 other clubs in May 2007. An informal mix of expatriates and locals, we offer a cordial welcome to all visitors!

The club normally meets each Thursday, at 19.30 at the Calypso Hotel, Marsalforn. However, there are occasions when this will change. Over the months of July and August, Rotary Club Gozo will not be holding its customary meetings. We shall return to "normal service" from September 1st (details to be announced anon). In the meantime, should any visiting Rotarians care to meet up, please get in touch with Margaret Welch, on secretary@rotarygozo.org to make arrangements.
Thanks.

More about us:

Who Are We?

We are a wide-ranging group of people from various backgrounds who provide service to those less fortunate than ourselves and to foster goodwill, fellowship and understanding between members, locally and worldwide. Regular meetings allow us to be both social and proactive in our charitable endeavours. Along with our close neighbours, Rotary Club Malta and Rotary Club La Valette, we form part of Rotary District 2110 (Sicily and Malta).

Our current President is Johanna Marks.

What Do We Do?

We have fun managing various fund-raising events throughout the year: charity auctions, art exhibitions, film nights, charity dinners, wine-tastings and more. These funds are then used to finance our various club projects and global Rotary Foundation initiatives. In addition, we arrange various informed Speaker Nights, of interest to the general public. To find out more, or to see when our next meeting is due to take place, check our events schedule.

Who benefits?

One of our current main projects is the Gozo Vocational Fund, whose aim is to support the career aspirations of young Gozitans by providing finance for tuition or study materials to students in need. Another on-going project has been assistance to the Friends of the Sick & the Elderly in Gozo (FSEG) to acquire, stock and open a Storage and Distribution Centre. Last, but not least, we have funded various one-off donations to good causes, home and abroad – check these out, here.
